Content Management System (CMS)

Basic Content Management System (CMS) are used to manage the information displayed on a web page of an Internet site that requires constant updates.

Usually, a CMS consists of two elements: the content management application (CMA) and the content delivery application (CDA). The CMA element (usually password protected) allows the site owner to manage the creation, modification, and removal of content from a Web site without needing the expertise of a Webmaster.
This can range from just a latest news page to the managing of pages of information and images
