UK Registered Office Service

The Company Warehouse offers a Registered Office address service for companies registered within the UK.
There is an annual fee for this service that includes forwarding up to 10 items of statutory and legal mail each year. Additional items of mail can be forwarded at an extra cost but most companies find this is enough.

Each item of mail is logged and forwarded unopened in a separate, postage paid, plain envelope. Please be aware that some other companies offering this service often simply re-address your mail without either keeping a record of the item forwarded or paying the associated postage cost.

We also provide facilities for non UK resident clients anywhere in the world.

Benefits of our Registered Office Service

Our registered office service provides you with a number of benefits, including:

  • Privacy – Using our registered office allows you to keep your personal address private.

  • Professional Feel – Using our registered office service means you can take advantage of using an address which is not clearly a residential address. Therefore providing your company with a professional feel of a larger, well established company, even if it has only recently been registered.

  • Franked Mail – Your legal and statutory mail will be franked before it is sent on from the registered office, not simply re-addressed.

  • Properly Manned – Our registered office is always in use and there will always be someone at hand to forward on your essential and important mail during the working week.

  • Legal Requirements – Using a registered office service means that the requirements placed on you by the Companies Act are fulfilled, without you having to worry about the particulars.

What is a registered office?

A company's registered office must be an address in England, Wales or Scotland where legal documents can be served. It is a requirement of the act (according to Section 87) that the registrar is notified of this address.

The Companies Act 2006 Registrar, Languages and Trading Disclosures Regulations 2006 states that a company must display its registered office address on all business letters, compliments slips and company websites along with other information (such as the company name and number).

Why Use a Registered Office?

Many small limited companies start by operating from the business owner's home. You will probably be doing the same with your business. This means when you carry out a company formation your home address will be entered on the companies register. Information on the register is available to the public.

Using a registered office service allows you to keep your home address private while complying with the letter of the law.
